Trek Et Randonnée m'goun Haut atlas Maroc - circuit Au Maroc
Hello World!

Day 1: Transfer from Marrakech to the central high atlas (Ait Bougmmez valley 1800m)
Departure from Marrakech by tourist transport at 8:00 a.m., it will take us two hours to reach the Ouzoud waterfalls or the foot of the central Atlas, then we will continue to the city of Azilal where we will have lunch. Then, we will take the road to the Aghbar pass (2200) where we will enjoy a breathtaking view of the M'goun massif chain, but also the Ait Abbas valley, as well as several peaks that exceed 3000 m above sea level. Finally, we will descend to the Ait bougmmez valley (the happy valley) to reach our bivouac site (under tents) in IkkisN Aarous 2300m in 2h30 of walking.
(Over the day: 5 hours of driving in tourist transport and approximately 2 hours of walking, level: medium.)
Day 2: Ikkis -Aarous (2400m), Aghri pass (3400m), Tarkeddit plateau (2996m)
After breakfast, we will begin our walk with a climb to the Aghri pass. We will come across sheepfolds on our way and we may (if we are lucky and in summer) come across dromedaries belonging to nomadic families of the Ait Atta tribe. After about 3 hours of walking, we will reach the Aghri pass and we will be able to once again contemplate the summit of M goun, the highest point of the central High Atlas. Then, we will go back down (about 2 hours) to the Tarkeddit plateau where our cook will welcome us with a picnic that we will eat outdoors. It is also on this plateau that we will set up our bivouac site. The afternoon will be devoted to a nap or short walks for those who still have the energy!
(Over the day: approximately 5 hours of walking, level: medium.)
Day 3: the Tarkeddit plateau (1996m)-M'Goun (4068m)-Iggli n'ntout 2000m
This day will be the most intensive of our trek. Naturally, those who do not wish to climb are not obliged to do so. In this case, they can follow the path that will be taken by the muleteers to reach the bivouac site directly (2h30 walk). For the others, the departure will be at dawn and it will be important before taking the road that everyone ensures that they have at least one and a half liters of water in their bag. We recommend for the climb to be technically equipped, in fact, it can be cold at the summit (even in summer against all expectations!) We advise you to bring gloves, a hat, a warm coat and walking poles which can be very useful to you during the descent. We will start the walk with a gentle difference in altitude (1h30) then we will continue it on a more difficult and mineral climb (where you can find fossils on the way) (2h30). Then we will join the ridge where we can begin to see the highest peaks of the High Atlas (1h30). When we reach the summit of M'Goun we will be able to enjoy the picnic that we will have taken in our bag and the breathtaking panoramic view of the peaks of the High Atlas, the valley of roses and the Saghrou massif. Then we will descend for 2h30 to reach our bivouac site (the plateau of Iggli n ntout). We will drink a well-deserved green tea with mint after this beautiful day of walking.
(Over the day: approximately 8 hours of walking, level: strong.)
Day 4 : Oulilimt Source 2800m – Tizi n'ait Imi pass (2905m) – Ait Imi source (2000m)
After breakfast, we begin our walk with a small descent on a path where we can see nomads with their herds of goats and dromedaries.

I went on this tour with my friend. The taxi driver picked us up at our riad, which was very nice. The driver, Jamal, was funny and gave us some moments to make pictures. Our tour guide, also Jamal , was very sweet and kind. For us the whole experience was unforgettable. Lovely people with very rich hearts!
Perfect day trip, best food, waterfall, scenery and most of all GREAT value for money! My only nag was the car we we travelled to and from was not clean and long crack on windscreen!
It has been an amazing experience in Imlil. Left Marrakech to visit Imlil Village, our guide, his name is Hocaine is the famous and friendly tourist guide we've met.. every body knows him..he's from this small Berber village who lead us up the mountain where we had a delicious Moroccan traditional lunch. Thanks to those people we met for making this trekking extra special. You guys rock!! The whole experience was absolutely awesome!.
An amazing day with breathtaking sights and unforgettable experiences. Extremely knowledgeable and passionate guide that went the extra mile for us to construct a bridge from stone when the path was flooded from rain the night before.
Negotiate in the souks. The souk stalls are bursting with silks, slippers, pillows, jewelry, and a million other things that you are going to want to take home, but be prepared to haggle for the right price. • See the Atlas Mountains. A few hours’ drive outside of Marrakech, the snowcapped Atlas Mountains are quite a site when you’re standing in an ocean of hot sand. The temperature will be chilly, so bring a coat and wear walking shoes. • Visit the Maison de la Photographie. This riad museum hosts rotating exhibitions of more than 6,000 original photographs, beautiful black-and-white scenes taken between 1870 and the 1950’s. As one of the medina’s tallest buildings, you will get a good view from the tea salon on its roof. • The Majorelle Garden in New Town is not to be missed. Bask sun next to mosaic fountains and contemplate life as Yves Saint Laurent, the garden’s former owner. • Drink tea. Moroccans are a hospitable and generous people, and they’ll offer you a mint tea every chance they get. The tea is delightful but be warned: they like their mint tea served sugary sweet and scalding hot.
Enjoy a unique and unforgettable experience in the desert as you ride a camel along its dunes and enjoy a traditional dinner accompanied by a live musical show.
