DAY 1

Marrakech - Imlil - Tizi n'Tamaterte - Wanskra Village

Morning: Begin your trek in Imlil (1,740m), hiking east along winding mule tracks.
Midday: Reach Tizi n'Tamaterte pass (2,279m). Enjoy a picnic lunch with panoramic views of Jbel Oukaimeden and the surrounding Atlas peaks.
Afternoon: Descend into the beautiful Imnane Valley.
Evening: Arrive at Wanskra village. Overnight in a local gite.
Walking time: 5-6 hours
Ascent: 539m
Descent: 279m

DAY 2

Wanskra Village - Ikkis - Tizi n'Aguersiwal - Aguersiwal - Imlil

Morning: After breakfast, trek down the Assif Imnane Valley, passing through small Berber hamlets.
Midday: Ascend to Tizi n'Aguersiwal pass (2,000m).
Afternoon: Descend to Aguersiwal village for a scenic lunch. Continue along the Imlil river bed back to Imlil.
Evening: Arrive in Imlil, trek concludes.
Walking time: 6 hours
Ascent: 260m
Descent: 520m

  • I went on this tour with my friend. The taxi driver picked us up at our riad, which was very nice. The driver, Jamal, was funny and gave us some moments to make pictures. Left Marrakech to visit Imlil Village, our guide, his name is Hocaine is the famous and friendly tourist guide we've met.. every body knows him..he's from this small Berber village who lead us up the mountain where we had a delicious Moroccan traditional lunch. imlil-trekking.com invites you to experience a different face of Morocco. Just 1,5 hours drive from Marrakech you enter another world, another time. Leaving behind hot and busy streets, crowded souks and hooting cars High Atlas Mountains greet you with breath taking views, green oases, rivers, waterfalls and shadows under age-old nut trees.  Laughing children pass by, muletiers load their donkeys and Berber women already put on fire for mint tea and Berber tajine.  .

  • Beautiful scenery and nice guide. We were picked up in Marrakech exactly at the agreed time and were driven to Imlil by a good driver and your car. We were met by the guide and went for a short daytrip of about 4 hours and lunch home at the guide. Good Moroccan food.

Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. We were cooked wonderful food throughout the entire 3 days, and the accommodation provided everything we needed. We couldn't recommend imlil trekking enough.
