Imlil Day Trip From Marrakesh To Atlas Mountains

DETAILED DESCRIPTION FOR YOUR MARRAKECH DAY TRIP :

Imlil valley is the end of the tarmac road and is a natural place to get mountain guided or the onward trek. It is a good starting point for a trekking holiday or for climbing Toubkal, the highest mountain in north Africa at 4167 metres high, on the way to Imlil village On Saturdays you can visit the Asni Berber market walk up to the Kasbah and explore the surrounding trails, superb views along the valley of Riraya. At this point in the mountains, it becomes true Berber country. Arrival to Imlil, and you will meet a professional guide for the hike through High Atlas Mountains to get Armed village for about 1hr 30 min for going and coming back, then you will enjoy a typical lunch at a local Berber family house, then arriving to Marrakech at approximately 5pm.

DAY 1

Imlil Day Trip From Marrakesh To Atlas Mountains

A 1 day private excursion to the Imlil valley mountain region. We depart Marrakech at 09:00hrs in Minibuses or 4×4 vehicles and head for the Atlas mountains. Our drive takes us into the Atlas Mountains to view the wonderful views and surrounding terrain. Along the way, there are lots of sights to see and people to meet. about 4 hours guided tour around Berber villages with possibility to ride miles during the afternoon. During the day, we enjoy a traditional Berber lunch.
We return to Marrakech at around 17:00hrs.

​In every season the Imlil valley has its own particular beauty: from the milky-white blossoms of spring, to the firy reds and auburns of the autumn leaves, and from the snow-capped winter peaks to tranquil, green summer hollows. Discover a more traditional way of life as you hike amongst the mud-built Berber villages scattered on these hillsides and relax in peaceful surroundings. Ideal as a base for exploring the region on foot, or as a start or finish point of a linear hike, guest houses such as Dar adrar have for many years been firm favorites with our guests.

Leaving behind hot and busy streets, crowded souks and hooting cars High Atlas Mountains greet you with breath taking views, green oases, rivers, waterfalls and shadows under age-old nut trees.  Laughing children pass by, muletiers load their donkeys and Berber women already put on fire for mint tea and Berber tajine.  .
