8 Days Ski touring Toubkal High Atlas Mountains of Morocco

Toubkal Ski Tour – What a contrast from Marrakech when you discover the horizon of the High Atlas. If the proximity of the Sahara is struggling to make us imagine a country of mountains and snow, Morocco is the most mountainous country in the North African. Since the high peaks, where the view is superb, steep slopes and corridors cashed, the land lends itself to the practice of ski touring.

Skiing in Morocco is more than a mountain sport, on our Toubkal Ski Tour we discover beautiful landscapes, sedentary Berber population, who lives in the mountain, a place of sustainable living. Beautiful downhill slopes and valleys, snow-capped peaks.

Skiing under the sun in the mountains of Toubkal in the middle of the High Atlas. Between starry nights and evenings in earthen villages ocher mountainside, you immerse yourself in the pleasant atmosphere Berber. The most beautiful ski races for experienced skiers and others.

DAY 1

Marrakech

Arrival at Marrakech airport, transfer to hotel, dinner and overnight.

DAY 2

Marrakech – Imlil – Tacheddirte

After breakfast, transfer by minibus to the village of Agersioual, we begin the Toubkal Ski Tour  , meeting with the team, you spend the collar bearing the name of this village to join the Imnane Valley, a slight rise take you to the village of Tachdirte.

Night and dinner at the shelter or cottage.

DAY 3

Tacheddirte – Iguenoune- Tacheddirte

After a good breakfast in front of the Aksoual and Likemt, you head towards the top of the Iguenouane (3900m) a good climb and also good are worth more to feast off track to rejoin Tachdirte.

Dinner and overnight in cottage or refuge.

DAY 4

Tacheddirte – Likemt- Imlil – Aremd

Another climb to the Likemt, then down on Assarou and continuation to the village of Aremd.

Dinner and overnight in a cottage (1900m).

DAY 5

Aremd- refuge of Toubkal.

A steady climb will take you to the refuge of Toubkal (3207m) installation. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 6

Refuge – Summit Toubkal- Refuge.

Climbing Mount Toubkal (4167m) the highest peak of North Africa and descent to the refuge, very good ways to better treat yourself with a beautiful view.

DAY 7

Refuge – Ras Ouanoukrim – Imlil -Marrakech – The end of Toubkal Ski Tour

Day dedicated to climbing Mount Ounoukrim and Green downhill Imlil, lunch and transfer back to Marrakech, transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 8

Departure.

Airport transfer and assistance to checkout.

  • I went on this tour with my friend. The taxi driver picked us up at our riad, which was very nice. The driver, Jamal, was funny and gave us some moments to make pictures. imlil-trekking.com invites you to experience a different face of Morocco. Just 1,5 hours drive from Marrakech you enter another world, another time. Leaving behind hot and busy streets, crowded souks and hooting cars High Atlas Mountains greet you with breath taking views, green oases, rivers, waterfalls and shadows under age-old nut trees.  Laughing children pass by, muletiers load their donkeys and Berber women already put on fire for mint tea and Berber tajine.  .
