4 days 3 Valleys Trek in High Atlas From Marrakesh
Hello World!

For 4 days let´s forget the worries of every day life, leave behind TV, news and traffic jams and enjoy the slow flow of time in traditional Berber villages. You will admire the simple but pretty architecture of these villages that perfectly fit to the area, feel the warmth and hospitality of locals and again and again be astonished by the stunning views that open in front of you.
This track is a great alternative to the mountaineering oriented Toubkal tracks as it focus more on the village life and rural area. Most of the time we will hike in altitude of approx. 2000 m. However avoiding Jebel Toubkal does not mean avoiding beautiful panorama and views. On the contrary, we will climb up to several passes, walk the valleys, have a rest at river banks and admire waterfalls…
You will be accompanied by a licensed and experienced guide. The tour is technically not difficult and you don´t need to have any previous mountaineering experience.
We will spend the nights in the refruges where we will meet other travellers and enjoy the well-known hospitality and delicious cookery of Berber people.

Early in the morning you will be picked up in Marrakech (from your hotel or airport) by our driver. Leaving behind the urban area you pass small towns like Asni and on the small road arrive to Imi Oughlad a traditional village and also one of the departure places to Toubkal National Parks. After introduction to the accompanying local support team we start our trek in north-west direction, pass cornfields and woods of pine and junipers. We climb to the Tiz n'tachete (2000m), where we shall stop for a while to look back down on the Imlil village and Oussaden valleys. Then carry on for another half hour to Imi n'ifri where we take our picnic lunch. After enjoying the well-deserved refreshment we walk for about 2,5 hours down on a rural path to Assif n' ait oussaden and to the red colour terraced village of Tiziane ( 1750 m ). Here we stop and spent the night in a local refuge or alternatively in a tent camp if this is agreed before. This track is a great alternative to the mountaineering oriented Toubkal tracks as it focus more on the village life and rural area. After breakfast we set off on our hike up and along the Assif n'ait nouzaden valley, pass through the walnut oases, up to Tizi n'taghrhourte (1995m) and on the comfortable track we arrive at Assaka spring. Here in the middle of beautiful countryside we enjoy our picnic lunch and listen to silence disturbed only by wind and birds. The afternoon's hike takes us down along the shadow giving forests until we reach the Berber village of D'knt (1870m) or agouns n Assoul where we will have our dinner and spent the night in a refuge or alternatively in tent if agreed before.
Approx. 6 to 7 hours walking
After breakfast we begin our 3 hours hike up through groves of walnut trees and fields of corn and barley. On today´s path and track we will have a lot of opportunity to practice our basic Berber language skills and get into the chat with the many sheep and goats herders, women and children that we will meet. We traverse the Tizi n'tagdalte to the descent amongst the juniper trees. We come to a small spring hidden amongst the trees where we will stop for our picnic. After a refreshing stop we continue our walk and after 3hours we come to a small river at the beginning of the valley Assif n'ait oussaden. From here we enter the village Tizi oussem (1850m) and then up to the summer village Of Tamsoult to our nights accomodation to have a rest and enjoy dinner. Alternatively we spent the night in a tent camp if agreed before. 5-6 hours walking.
I went on this tour with my friend. The taxi driver picked us up at our riad, which was very nice. The driver, Jamal, was funny and gave us some moments to make pictures. Our tour guide, also Jamal , was very sweet and kind. For us the whole experience was unforgettable. Lovely people with very rich hearts!
