Atlas mountains Trek Imlil To Setti Fatma from marrakesh

An amazing Imlil to Setti Fatma trek around the 3 Berber valleys of the High Atlas Mountains, The trek starts from the Village of Imlil over Tizi n Tamatert pass down to the beautiful valley of Imlil where you will spend the night in the highest village in the atlas Mountain “Tachdirth ” from where you will head up on the following day over Tizi n tachdirth where the views are amazing down the Ourika valley. long descent to the village of Timichi for 2nd night. Day 3 is quiet a gentel down the ourika river through lot of small berber hamlets, lunch at agadir n ait boulmane prior to drive back to Marrakech on the afternoon..

Equipment

  1. Good walking boots and socks / good trainers for valley treks
  2. Personnel First aid Kit
  3. 3 to 4 season sleeping bag ( winter) or light Sleeping bag ( Summer)
  4. Crampons, Ice axes and Gaiters for Winter treks ( Nov to April )
  5. Lightweight waterproof over-trousers / rain-pants
  6. Water bottle or camel back (recommended)
  7. Soft-sided bag (50-80 litres)
  8. Lightweight daypack
  9. Sunglasses
  10. Sunscreen
  11. Torch and batteries
  12. Towel & all personal toiletries

DAY 1

MARRAKESH to Imlil - TIZI NTAMATERT (2279M) - TACHDIRT VILLAGE (2420M)

Imlil Trekking organised private 3 Days,  Imlil to setti fatma trek starts from Marrakesh to Imlil then head towards the valley of Tacheddirt passing by Tizi n’Tamatert (2279m) to arrive at the village of Ouanesekra in the valley of Tacheddirt where we spend the night in a Berber gîte or bivouac. 5 hours walking time.

DAY 2

Tachdirth - Tizi n Ibbasen 3172m - Timichi Village

Depart Tachdirth towards Timichi passing by the Tizi n Ibbasen 3172m . After the col we then descent pass the villages of Ibbasen and Timichchi. We spend the night in a bivouac or Berber gîte. 6 to 7 hours walking time.

DAY 3

Timichchi - Setti Fatma - Marrakesh

Depart Timichchi towards Setti Fatma. All along the journey there are Berber villages in the valley for example Tiourdou, Anfli, Tadrart, Chiker. After lunch we continue via Agadir n’Aït Boulmane and on to the centre of Setti Fatma. Then return to Marrakech or visit the waterfall at Setti Fatma if there is time. 4 to 5 hours walking time “IMLIL TREKKING” - your trusted travel company in Morocco.
