Day 1: Marrakech - Imlil
Start your day with an air conditioned coach transfer from your Riad in Marrakech to the beautiful town of Imlil, also called the little Chamonix of Morocco. A short walk from Imlil to visit the Kasbah du toubkal in the High Atlas Mountains will bring us to Aremd Village, where our cooking adventure will begin. Enjoy true Berber hospitality and start with a traditional tea ceramony then learn to cook a traditional Moroccan feast. While you wait for your creation to cook you have the option to either experience farm life, or a walk and discover the Aremd area. Once the cooking has been complete taste your creation.
Overnight at the Guest house in the village. 4 hrs walking.
Day 2: Armed Village to Tizi Ntamatert - Marrakech
start from Armed Village towards Walk up winding tracks to the Tizi n’ Tamatert (2279m) to enjoy the amazing panorama of the surrounding Atlas Mountain ranges. Have a lunch on the Tizi N' Tamatert, overlooking Jbel Oukaimeden (3200m) and the beautiful encircled plateau. After lunch walk back to Imlil via an alternate route and board your coach transfer back to Marrakech. 5 hrs walking.
I went on this tour with my friend. The taxi driver picked us up at our riad, which was very nice. The driver, Jamal, was funny and gave us some moments to make pictures. Our tour guide, also Jamal , was very sweet and kind. For us the whole experience was unforgettable. Lovely people with very rich hearts!
Perfect day trip, best food, waterfall, scenery and most of all GREAT value for money! My only nag was the car we we travelled to and from was not clean and long crack on windscreen!
It has been an amazing experience in Imlil. Left Marrakech to visit Imlil Village, our guide, his name is Hocaine is the famous and friendly tourist guide we've met.. every body knows him..he's from this small Berber village who lead us up the mountain where we had a delicious Moroccan traditional lunch. Thanks to those people we met for making this trekking extra special. You guys rock!! The whole experience was absolutely awesome!.
An amazing day with breathtaking sights and unforgettable experiences. Extremely knowledgeable and passionate guide that went the extra mile for us to construct a bridge from stone when the path was flooded from rain the night before.
